13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi
You can immediately read about it here on Wikipedia. US diplomatic representative and CIA compound got hit by Libyan militants, which ended in some deaths.
Now, you know, I dislike US and their foreign policy. I mean, if you don't want to get shot - stop trying to fuck over other countries. And events of the movie are kinda tied into that... However, there are a few things going for this picture. First of all, the events here are very narrow. We aren't really given much patriotic crap before we go to the main even which is just one long night full of gunfire and murder. Second of all, this is Michael Bay movie. You know you have to watch it just for action. And lastly - action is really good. I mean, people getting literally mown down by the machineguns... Good stuff.
So, how true? Yeah, let's look at the usual site. So, there it says that quite a lot of details about the assault were true. Also it says about some controversy about ambassador's death, and also about names of some people not getting revealed for reasons of safety. Also, I actually enjoyed the general feel of the city they had there - with people calmly watching football on TV while there's assault going on few blocks away. It really gets that fucked up in some of the war-torn countries, and it adds weird realism to the movie, too.
