They did make a petition for season 2 and it is now recieving over 12,000 signatures, but I don't think they'll do a season 2 because there is only 10 volumes of the light novel series, and if they keep making the novel series into anime, then it'll be just like One Piece, and Naruto; in short a continuation anime series. Yet since there is only 10 volumes of the novel, they'll just cut it short and end it with a cruddy ending like Bleach. In short again, no season 2. But hey, if we ever survive the future, they'll probably continue the anime series since it was uber awesome.
