Time to bump this for the new year.

First of all, here's an AMV that is a really interesting mix of One Piece and Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun with song "Let's Go" by Tiesto. Gotta say, music here doesn't have a big part and is there mainly to provide the rhythm for the video. But the idea of video is damn nice. Nozaki-kun is a character that draws manga. And in this video that manga is One Piece, for which he gets inspiration from his school friends. Very cool concept and nice music clip!

Now, second AMV I want to show you... features a shitton of anime, and the music here is "New Wave of Mutilation" by Huoratron. And let me tell you right now - I fucking hate it.
However, there's also a proper reason to post this. I dislike this AMV, but I cannot ignore the sheer amount of work put in this. This thing is fucking shite, but it's extremely highly tenchical pile of fucking shite. And therefore, it is something one should know is one is interested in AMVs. Enjoy and try not to puke.

I feel like I haven't added anything here for a while... So here's two more:

First one is AMV for Planetes anime with "Everybody Wants To Be An Astronaut" song by Royal Republic. One of those cases when anime and song are pretty much about the absolutely same thing. This one speaks for itself, and it's both good video material and song. Too bad it's only about 2 minutes long.

Well, this one, in turn is whole 5 minutes long. Song is "Saturday Night" by Bay City Rollers... and also "Saturday Night" by Hi-STANDARD. And it's a mix of fuckton of animes. This is just pure dance fun. Well made and well mixed, and watching some of it, you can't help but laugh. Also, yeah, as I said it's 5 minutes long... and switches a beat somewhere at the middle for more fun.

    We need more rock here.

This one is Black Lagoon AMV, song is "You're Going Down" by Sick Puppies. This is pretty much what you would expect of well-made Lagoon rock AMV. Sharp editing, pure action. This one centers mostly around Roberta, but it's pretty damn good even if she isn't your fav character there.

At times I go out to find AMVs for particular songs. So, this time I decided to find AMV for "Hard Rock Hallelujah" by Lordi. For those unaware - that is a Finnish group that in 2006 rocked the fuck out of Eurovision. And, no surprise there, anime for this is Hellsing. Actually, there are quite a few Hellsing AMVs for that song, but this one holds the rhythm the best. It has a bit of talks from the anime, but it actually plays well enough with the start of the song.

At times you just want to have some cute underage sexy girls on your screen. And hence I give you these AMVs. Be warned - perversion rate goes up in there.

First one is AMV to Gate anime, song is "Burn it to the ground" by Nickelback, and as you can see - it's pretty much just tribute to Rory. And honestly, what's not to like about a cute girl with a big fucking axe? Quality and pacing could have been better, but this is a decent tribute, which you will like if you are a fan of the character. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wf6JNYHEp6Q

Next one is made by someone called "King Pervert", and that already says it all. Anime is OniAi and the song is "Girlfriend" by Avril Lavigne. Now, yes, this is straight pervy AMV. However, even though I never saw this anime, and will never see it, and have no personal interest here, I can't overlook the quality. Great rhythm and video follows the words very nicely. Pervy quality!

And finally! The most pervy of the bunch. Anime is, obviously, Shimoneta, and the song is "Hallelujah" by Panic! at the Disco. And honestly, it just making me laugh so hard hearing "Hallelujah!" with Shimoneta scenes... Warning: spoilers, so if you haven't seen anime and plan to, don't watch this yet. Good video full of near-religiously perverted feelings. Enjoy.

You know I love Death Parade anime, so here's one more good AMV for that. Song is "Ashes of Eden" by Breaking Benjamin. This one concentrates on the general melancholic theme of the series. Rhythm is slow, but generally video matches the song in pacing and imagery. If you ejoy the series - you will like and understand this.

Now... I am unsure what exactly the next thing is. Apparently, someone is making Fate/Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works AMVs based on the theme of mental status effects from Darkest Dungeon game... (what?) So far there seems to be just 2 of those. Both for same anime, but with very different pacing. I feel it's worth checking out, so here we go:

First one's music is "Blood And Stone [Ivan Torrent Remix]" by Audiomachine.

And second one is "The Drunken Whaler" by COPILOT

Haven't posted anything in a while here, so here goes.

The first one is just plain funny AMV for K-ON! with the song "Cooking By The Book" by Lazy Town. Not bad sync, and pretty much what is being sang about is what is happening. So yeah, funny moeshit. Very relaxing and light-hearted work.

Now, next two are a bit deeper and a bit similar.

This AMV is made for Ghibli's Kiki's Delivery Service with song "You're The Only Thing In Your Way" by Cloud Cult. This is a pretty slow AMV. More thoughtful, and the text matches more not what is happening immediately, but like a general feel of the anime. Again, very relaxing and pleasant work.

And the last AMV is for Ghibli's Kaze Tachinu with music "Homecoming" by Thomas Bergersen. No lyrics here, but the song itself is pretty epic, video matches it nicely, and, well, it's just a pretty good all around tribute. Plus, it seems that's the first work for that AMV-maker, and it's pretty good for that, I think.

Recently I found song "Sound of Silence", originally by Simon & Garfunkel, remixed by Disturbed. Which was nice in its own way. And just so happened, that now I found Wolf Rain AMV for that song. Now, there's not much editing, and video does not always exactly match the words... But the combination itself is extremely fitting. Song is generally sad, with both slow somber parts and just huge loud parts. And anime is in the same way, it in that regard it shows damn well in the video.

Well, in good tradition of previous voting contests, it's time to celebrate the end of the Couples Contest with some good AMVs. Which obviously will be about them couples.

First off - Ryuuji & Taiga from Toradora, they got 3rd place, and yeah, it wasn't much doubt that out of all the obvious romantic anime couples they will get to the final. So, here's AMV for them with song "You Belong With Me" by Taylor Swift. Not much editing in this one, but visuals and that whole anime feel go really well with song.

For second place we got kick-ass Sig Curtis & Izumi Curtis from Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. And... there's literally no AMV for them. Yes, we have a couple on 2nd place that's that much underappreciated. So... I am not about to post some random FMB amv here, so, you know... here, just take the bear scene.

And finally, we got Isaac & Miria from Baccano who got first place, and let me tell you, for this couple I do have a perfect AMV. Song is "Act My Age" by One Direction. I will tell right now, the pacing of the video could have beet slightly better, but song fits this couple so well, it' still perfect!

You know, results of the contest made me re-watch Baccano! So, here, have a whole 3 Baccano AMVs!

First one got song "Lump Your Head" by Hollywood Undead. Fast crime-themed song about what you do with people who talk to much. And sure, anime has a whole lot of visuals to support that. Not dedicated to any single character, though, some do get more action than others.

Next one is... well, first of all, it is "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen. And it's a Ladd Russo tribute, so... god damn, it's beautiful. I have to say right away, that video quality is not good here, but the idea is goddamn great, and character and song match perfectly.

This one is... well, it's in Russian. Song is "Zirk" by Russkaja (Russian Turbo Polka Metal Band). I know you will not understand lyrics, but it's pretty much about "go to circus and see a lot of fun stuffs". Matched to the Baccano crazy visuals. I put it here because, even without understanding of lyrics, the music is fun and matches well, and at times this video just goes super-fast.
