So I just watched the first two episodes tonight, and enjoyed them greatly. The art is fresh, the voice acting top, the story seems interesting and the character interaction works for me.
I was ridiculously glad this gets a 26 episode adaption, rather than 12 or 13 only. This seems like something I would like to develop properly, rather than being hamstrung by a low episode count. There's a lot of foreshadowing here, and the world building seems unique enough to catch my interest.
The first two episodes were rather slow in terms of plot, but they did not feel slow at all thanks to the characters and solid pacing. The second episode actually had me pray that it wouldn't end on a cliffhanger for a particular scene, that's how satisfying it was to watch for me. Funnily enough, the first story arc is still going on by episode three (possibly even further).
I'd recommend giving it a try.
