    this movie came out right when I was about in high school and I am glad I didn't watch the movie until now. It was the most beautiful anime I have ever watched; but at the same time, it shattered my heart in the most brutal way possible.

    It made me want to question bunch of things, but I see myself hesitating to specify what I want to question - what I want to question in life.

    If you still didn't watch this movie, go ahead and watch it; but you can never finish this movie without feeling melancholy.

    this is by far the saddest yet most fascinating and most "What the hell just happened?" movie anime I ever saw. here is a trailer: now go cry..

    Ohhhh lordy. Forever alone, the movie. Watched it just after I finished with high school, don't remember the number of times I had walks of just staring into space after watching it.

    Read the manga as well, covers a lot more ground with the third part of the movie. Characters are a lot more dimensional, too.

    Yeah. The characters are better in the manga...

    But the movie just gives it more of a realistic feeling... Even though I found the second part boring as hell but the third part, oh God, the third part. ;A;

    kinda one of those movie that you either get it or you just don't

    if you don't get it you'll just be like "dafuk? that's it? really ?" if you do get it however, you'll be crying in your bed to sleep and depressed for the next few days

    .... I wasn't crying in a bed or huddle up in a corner bawling my eyes out... But I know I was crying at the end. Just not as much.

    ......... I felt more for Daizo's No Longer Human.

    I had trouble watching this. I kept skipping through it due to the slow pace of plot and before I knew it, I reached the ending.

    my heart almost stopped somewhere at 00:20 when I heard the main theme soundtrack. I've heard the song somewhere once, long time ago, and even learnt to play it on piano but never knew it's from this anime.

    and the second part/story destroyed me.
