My thoughts:
As I see the characters, nobody would play Aziraphale better than Rowan Atkinson: A slightly clumsy, a bit out-of-this world angel with his little hobbies.
Crowley, that is more difficult. The actor who played Loki does not have enough self-irony to be this supposedly-evil, sarcastic, yet kind-hearted, at times funny creature. Maybe Simon Pegg could do it.
Your thoughts?
I'm a little iffy with the Rowan Atkinson suggestion. Mostly because I can't really picture him as a blond. I also have a small problem imagining how Aziraphale would look like especially since he's been described having a bit of a stomach... Mark Sheppard always comes to mind, but the personality seems a little off?
Simon Pegg is a good choice, but I think Tom Hiddleston could pull it off quite nicely too. :>

I.. approve of Tom Hiddleston as Crowley. D: I think he'd be able to do it well. Seeing Rowan Atkinson as Aziraphale would be strange though.. I don't know, maybe it can work, I just can't make it work in my head.
I have no suggestions.. now I want to reread it, probably some people will come to mind..
Everyone will be played by a nine year old Shirley Temple. That is all...
@reki @Candytenshi I know what I am showing you is the opposite side, but at least it conveys Atkinson's intellectual, not-Mr.-Bean side. When I think about him playing Aziraphale, I picture him more like he was in the Thin Blue Line.
Also, I do not approve of Tom Hiddleston. I watched the Avengers and did not see any amazing actor play there (not there was any place for that, either). He played Loki in a silly costume, suddenly tumblr fangirls are all over him; it doesn't mean he will play Crowley well.
No no no, Simon Pegg can't be Crowley - he and Nick Frost have to be Hastur and Ligur. Arthur Darvill would be Newton Pulsifer. I have no idea who would play Aziraphale and Crowley, though I can't picture Rowan Atkinson and Tom Hiddleston. I think if James McAvoy was a bit older, he could definitely pull off Aziraphale, but to be honest I think you could dream cast all day and never be totally happy. I think they might have to pull up some unknowns for those two.
