I know that the hard core Sherlock fans are foaming at the mouth in rage. I'm kind of sick to them saying that they're going to watch it just to see how bad it sucks. Why watch something just so you can hate it? You should go into something with an open mind.

I won't watch that.

I am waiting to actually watch it first before making any assumptions. I know many Sherlock fans are like LKAJFLAKJ KILLLLLLLL THIS IS GOING TO BE HORRIBLE.

I do feel like it is kind of a rip off that American TV hopes to profit it off of. I'm just kinda pissed because they most likely reason they turned John into a women is so they could have a romance/chemistry between Sherlock and John. Wish it wasn't, but oh well.

I'll reserve my judgement until after I actually watch the show.

Putting aside the fact it is a bastardisation of Sherlock Holmes.

That looks like a really boring show in general. Takes all the tropes of things done before and just throws them in there for the sake of it, this feels more like a watered down generic buddy cop show than anything close to the caliber of Moffat's Sherlock Holmes Modernisation or hell even other current buddy cop shows like Castle.

Course this is just my first impression, could change but atm it's not selling itself very well. Also if it ever goes down the romance route with holmes and watson then it doesn't deserve to live.

My issue with new Watson isn't that Watson is female, but that she isn't ex military. Hell, she isn't Watson at all. She's a random female character with a similar name. Lucy Liu could make an awesome female watson, just give make her ex military, fairly normal person with some heart, but even headed and logically oriented.

Watson is the most important part of the stories. Without Watson, Sherlock is just a strange alien that solves puzzles. Watson is the lens that the person can see Sherlock through and see a real person with difficulties, emotions, and a massive intellect. A badly written Watson makes a bad show, because he/she holds the story together.

Also, it looks like another generic crime solving savant show. It looks kinda uninspired.

The only good Sherlock is RDJ.
