    le bump.

@n1xx requested this thread to be revived. We're still looking for voice actors & actresses to fill in for the roles in the game. It's the only thing missing for this project as me & n1xx will be the ones to sync it with the gameplay as we speak.

@InvisibleRainbow - get one ASAP. There's definitely a good / decent headset around there. If you're on laptop, I can post tips on how to get most out of your audio recorded files, even with a cheap headset.

@InsaneBoredGame - There are tons of voices that may suit for the game. Just go on and audition, and don't let something as your voice to stop you from trying out. Everyone has a role to voice in this dub-over. trust me and @n1xx. Heck, we're even actually waiting for @Kirn to voice his role, which me & @n1xx agreed that would suit him.

Ok, I think I might have time when I get home to record for this. You already know my voice I think, will I have to audition? Just give me the leftover female role lol.

    Don't worry Shiro. I won't XD

I was just stating based on my previous "work experience" with you. But we're still open to more enthusiastic talent around here too.

@InvisibleRainbow: It would be a pleasure to have you amongst us! Like @MyogiWarrior34 has already mentioned, we are going to do our best to help you with any audio questions that you may have. ;>

@InsaneBoredGame: The particularity of the artistic world is that differences make you stand out and often, in a very good way. Do not worry if you may sound odd to yourself, we project managers will guide you according to any samples that you can supply. :D

    @Shirosuke:

You already know my voice I think, will I have to audition?

Recording full parts are not required, due to already being quite familiar with your voice. However, you are free to only submit samples at first, in order to get reviews before attempting to record a full script.

It is your choice though, sometimes, the more your record, the more feedback you can get. It is often more effective to get a summarized review with only samples, however, myself and Myogi are in no rush so we can evaluate your recordings in whatever way you are more comfortable with. ;]

    SHIRO'S A GOOD EVE / AYA / MAYA!

I would really love to hear you voice as Eve. From what I have already heard, you have the right voice tones for it and it comes out quite naturally, so it should not be difficult, as a result.

Here is an overview of what we expect of Eve's voice:

Our objective is to make her sound more lively, without betraying the eerie aura that she delivers. In other words, we would like her to sound like a ruse, almost like the devil itself. Try to always speak with the intention of a know-it-all that is up to no-good. A great reference would be the character Dark Alessa from the Silent Hill movie(see the video below).

@Kirn: Yes, you are right about Dr. Maeda being further away in the storyline. However, he is present only starting from Day 3. You are free to choose other male character roles in the meantime. :3

If you have your own way of perceiving Eve's nature, please don't hesitate on recording it in multiple takes, in order to explore each aspect of her personality. Furthermore, submitting your audition in the form of multiple audio files is absolutely acceptable. ;>

We actually already do have established expectations for Eve's voice. Details concerning this can be found by consulting one of my previous responses to @Shirosuke.

In the case that, after consulting that description, you still have questions concerning our preferences for Eve's part, all you have to do is ask for more precisions. :]

We've received @blackjack42's audition file and the quality of his audition has been approved.

@blackjack42, here's what you should do next: 1. Redo the line, less the breathing and pop sounds*. 2. Following the video link, as a guide to your voicing/timing, include all other miscellaneous voices of the Prince's role such has his pain screams (when he was set on fire). Make the cries of pain as realistic as you can. 3. If you wish to audition for other roles, feel free to do so. Do take note that when you do this, your voice for the second role should sound totally different from the first role you took. (i.e. 2nd role requires (insert country here)'s accent while 1st role was purely American in terms of accent)

*How to lessen pop sounds and breathing off mic:

    • angle your mic 2 thumbs below your lips.
    • keep your face/head parallel to the ground when you voice *don't tilt down just to see if you're mouth is directly on the mic
    • if you can. After every end of your line/statement, gently/quietly put the mic away from you if you need to breathe out and breathe in for air so that the breathe-out won't hit the mic and the windy/air sound won't be recorded.

With the approved audition, check on the first page's second post for updated roles/cast list.
