@Xyopq: You'll see that bonds between guild members are rock solid regardless of contact even after half a year in the next episode; you'll also realize everyone was scammed.

how can Kirito say the game is fair when just last episode he took on 5 guys by breaking the game with his regenerating health?

With the PK incident, he's specifically targeting fairness of set rules and boundaries. As in, why have player protected zones if you're going to throw in something that makes it meaninglessness. There are player-found exploits for the game, but the fundamental system itself was designed to be pretty fair. The Titan's Hand members were outclassed by Kirito, though it was called irrational based on common sense, it's still fair in that why should a group of low-level players be able to beat a high-leveled player just because they have numbers? The level system works as that sort of counteraction in a game where mobbing PKs happen. And on the practical level, there's no reason for a high-leveled no-life to attack a group of lower-leveled players.

@Senkonna The problem is if one high level player goes a bit nuts, then he can just wait outside a town and one hit PK anyone that oversteps the boundries. If another higher level goes to stop him, then all Mr.Crazy needs to do is teleport from the town to another one.

Still, no matter how balanced you make a game, players will find ways to exploit it :P

@Xyopq: Again, the fundamental system is made to be fair, and a player going crazy doesn't fall under the preconceptions of practicality. :V

I'm really liking this anime, although IMO, the plot could have been slowed down -- not really even sure if it's a total of 12 or 26 episodes. Nevertheless, I'm still looking forward to who the criminal is in Episode 5!

The anime is actually following the sequence of what comes first. Those who read the light novel would find it a little confusing but the anime corrects it.But all in all i think is a very promising series this season

the anime is following closely the original light novel... even the episode 5-6 was taken from volume 8: early and late - story 1: a murder case in the area

though i wonder if reki kawahara-sensei will continue to make side stories in the future... that wont be going to be included in the anime since it follows a chronological order of events

Oh man I just read the first volume of the light novel. Was pre' good. Although I think the characterization of Asuna could have been a lot better and the twist(s) at the end were pre' amazing and unlikely but well pulled-off. Judging from the general feel of this thread it seems like the anime has a sort of different plotline. /Might/ check that out as well...

Nah, same plot and such. They're just removing and altering some scenes to compact it and make it more suitable for animu format.

    Might just watch the fights

Lol, it's funny because they pretty much condensed Aria in the Starless Night to just the boss battle.
