WARNING: VIDEO MAY DESTROY YOUR SOUL

Many people have reasons to kill. Those who kill their family usually has a pretty damn good reason why they do it. Whether it's something serious such as self-defense, trivial such as wealth, or maybe emotional like when your parents never seem to pay attention to you.

But what if you kill for no reason? At all?

That's what happened to Whittaker family of Sugarland, TX. The eldest son Bart, had always been given everything by his family: wealth, love, attention, etc. He had a loving brother who looked up to him, a mother who stayed home to take care of her kids, and a father who always brought in the dough that was really more than enough to support his family.

So why did he kill them? NO REALLY WHY???????

No really seriously, he literally had no reason to kill them at all. When asked by the shrink or whatever he was like, "Yer, dunno." said it was like a game and such.... and even planned to kill his dad EVEN AFTER everything's out in the open and his dad already forgave him.

OK, for those of you who say, "He deserves it" or whatevs, yes he totally did so I asked that no one will state the obvious here. What I wanna know is WHYWHYOHGODWHY???

I know he's diagnosed with true sociopath, narcissism etc. but what I want to know is why did he even got all those mental problems in the first place? He had no traumatic events, had a lot of friends/wasn't a loner, and the family loved him very much also. It's said that he got high on such things but again, what really causes the fucking high?

Sorry if I go out on a limb there but phew really... I've read many a serial killers and at least they have some sort of excuse for what they did, even if it was/seemed stupid/didn't make sense. This one is just.... I dunno... I sorta understand but... no...

well anyway.... here's the video... tell me what you think of it...

    Again, may destroy your soul...

Anyway, here's a video to lift your spirits up. A guard plays with a kid for no reason

But he lives in Sugar Land, Texas, which is really the least 'Texan' part of Texas (stereotypically speaking).

Sometimes there is no reason, there is no big answer lying in wait, sometimes people do horrible things because they can and no other reason than that. They can be given the world and all its treasure, and still won't be enough for them.

Just because nothing traumatic happens to a person, doesn't mean they're going grow up to be sane and reasonable people. A lot of murderers and sociopaths aren't loners or even come off as disturbed in the slightest, some of them even came from good loving homes. Sometimes people are as @Someone said born to not give a fuck.

Human brain development is pretty much stohastic. You can increase someone's chances of acquiring a certain way of thinking, but they will never be 1. In the production process of what the society refers to as normal humans, there are still many imperfections and unknown factors.

I find this video is very essential to this topic, with perhaps the exception of the first 40 seconds of it.

lol. did tman just make that shit up? There is no such thing as "normal." Just shades of oddity.

For any who lives by the sword should die by the sword. I don't think it is ethical/moral (whatever the fuck that is "defined" by society) to let a murderer be excused of direct murder. Murderers should be disposed of immediately with enough proof to find him/her guilty.

Bumping this up again. Since we just had a delightful thread about Death Penalty by @CloudVariasKira , this made me think about this case again.

So anyway, the guy is not dead yet! He still has the federal appeal to go through even though it's been 9 years. Now here's the BIG question:

    Why should we kill him?

Okay, so it was justified back in 2003 because it's the law and all that but now think about it: What does killing him actually accomplish now? That the law is upheld?

OK, the law, since it's the USA and all, the position of Death Penalty varies even within the country itself. Does this mean the dignity of the law is questioned if he's not killed?

Another thing that I'm concerned the most however is his dad. You kids here might not think about this that much but seriously, this is HIS ONLY KID LEFT. He's certainly NOT going to make another just because this one's getting killed. Proof? How about nine years of trying to save this one instead of procreating?

OK so you might say, so what? Well, you see, when people lose someone they love, they get really sad. Feeling sad is not a nice experience. Now, the state is going to make him lose his only surviving family member...

Man, this case is really grey as fuck. So you killed your family who loves you so much who would really hate to lose you. But you failed to kill one and now he's going to lose YOU after losing everyone else.

Anyway, it's unlikely he won't get killed but I must ask this: Are you going to be proud of yourself, Texas? You're going to destroy a man's life after he's had one destroyed before.

But of course, here's another, so what if Bart is spared? Commuted to life perhaps? Alright, but that doesn't actually impress me yet.

Here's the thing: What is the purpose of punishment? What do you expect from it? Revenge? Justice?

I myself am not against death penalty but rather I'm taking the situational approach to it. I could agree that killing serial murderers might solve the problem and serve 'justice'. This one, I agreed, no really, I really did. But after 9 FRIGGIN' YEARS? Okay, seriously...

Anyway, I don't know. What do you guys think about this? I know I said I didn't want to ask whether or not he deserved it but now I'm having Nightmares about it. I thought my position was solid but I guess even I could learn to forgive even the most heinous act.

He watched Naruto and wanted to be like Itachi.

But in all seriousness, he is probably truly honest when he says he doesn't know. Maybe it was on a sudden whim to see if he could do it(To test his abilities(Itachi))? I will have to think on this.

I see the problem; the dad called his son a little nerd like a minute and a half into the first video. Scarred him for life, I bet; can't call a Texan kid a nerd and not expect repercussions!

Obviously that pair of bunny ears in the first video. You don't make your son wear those shit, man. Poor kid probably found out about all the wrong reasons why his parents would even own a pair. Must have been absolutely detrimental for his mentality when he realized the truth.
