Are we going to have to do this thing every year? Is 9/11 going to haunt us for the rest of our lives? Frankly worse things have happened and more people have died from all kinds of reasons. I don't care much for any of the wars that have been or the natural catastrophies. I don't care much for 9/11 either. Yes, respect those who have suffered, but I don't think they would want to be reminded about this their entire lives. I'm pretty sure they will remember anyway. I think we all want to live our lives. The people who are Still Alive.

Hey guys, this is kinda a big deal in the US, and will continue to be so. There's no denying it, it did have a huge effect on the American people and the world as a whole, though probably not for reasons you may expect.

It lead to the USA PATRIOT Act, an act that allowed for many things like wiretapping without warrant. It lead to the big TSA crackdowns, causing the X-Rays and patdowns and "random" checkings of all arab-esque people. It lead to tougher stances on the internet. All these things are noticed by other countries, ones that then adopt similar stances. Look at SOPA and ACT, one spawning the other.

Not even counting the visible effects, it doesn't take much to understand that this will be like Pearl Harbor was for the USA. We were attacked on our soil, we launched into a war, and many changes happened as a result of it. While I don't expect there to be a national holiday, I do expect this to be a recurring topic for the next decade, at least.

Hardly sarcastic, just my personal view on the matter. I do not agree with the ramifications of the attack, but there is no denying them in my eyes.

At first I thought you were supportive of the tapping without warrant, acta, sopa and stuff like that. It was a misunderstanding on my part.
