"This is a world where the mental state and personal tendencies of a human can be quantified. While all sorts of inclinations are recorded and policed, these measured numbers used to judge peoples souls are often called "Psycho-Pass."

The story follows Inspector Akane Tsunemori and Enforcer Shinya Kogami, who work for the Public Safety Bureau and apprehend latent criminals, people who have a Psycho-Pass that exceeds a certain number.

It's animated by Production I.G and written by Gen Urobuchi of Fate/zero and Puella Magi Madoka Magica. The ending is sung by EGOIST.

Terms

Dominators: Guns used by the Public Safety Bureau to apprehend latent criminals. They can measure Psycho-Pass levels. The lethality of the gun shifts depending on the Psycho-Pass of the target.

Enforcers: Latent criminals who are used by the Public Safety Bureau to help catch other latent criminals.

Inspectors: People who oversee the Enforcers and make sure that they don't go too far.

Psycho-Pass: A measurement of a person's psyche. The levels of Psycho-Pass are decided by Hues. The cloudier it is, the higher the Psycho-Pass. An example is Powder Blue and Steel Blue, with Powder Blue being healthy.

This looks really interesting. I generally think that I watch comedy and school life the most, but when I think about it, my favorite shows are sci-fi. Things like ergo proxy, serial experiments lain etc. I read up on the show and it seems totally like my kind of thing. Not to mention I love Gen urobuchi's work aswell as egoist...huge fan there. I don't see how I can go wrong.

Edit: Oh dear lord Hanazawa Kana and Ishida Akira are in this now I have no choice.

Think of it this way:

EGOIST was made for Guilty Crown, thus, remnant. Supercell was there years before, thus, not remnant as it CANNOT be one since it technically wasn't a part of Guilty Crown and how can something that exist before be a remnant of something that comes into existence afterwards?

But the opening to guilty crown was not performed by egoist even though it was composed by supercell. Koeda sings "My Dearest" as well as "Sinner" but chelly is another one of supercells vocalist ( idk what happened to nagi) and sings "Departures" etc. So I guess chelly is the only difference between it being called supercell and egoist. Also, neither one of them voice inori. She is voiced by Ai Kayano.

The Egoist website even fucking uses Inori in its domain name.

The character designs for this anime is so bad. Production IG is usually good for it's quality, heck even Guilty Crown had decent character designs thanks to Redjuice, but man this series is UGLY. I'm sure the animation is fine, but I cannot get over the character designs.

Next time hire a better character designer. D:

They're releasing the character model sheets now.

I'm assuming more sheets will be released as the show continues.
