  1. Alternative to iTunes

    I've never liked iTunes much. So I was curious if anyone knew of good alternatives in terms of not just a media player but something to sync my iphone to. Maybe something that isn't a resource hog. ><

    If I recall correctly, both Winamp and MediaMonkey have syncing support out-of-the-box, and I am sure that Foobar2k (my player of choice) has a syncing component(plugin) floating around somewhere.

    Foobar2k is light and extensible, MediaMonkey is a jack-of-all-trades, and Winamp is a dead llama that we keep beating.

    is there an alternative that works with iOS 5?

    Like, syncing with iTunes fucks up my Jailbreak and Mediamonkey doesnt support iOS 5... yet.

    Copytrans Manager
    I got sick of losing songs whenever I synced my ipod to a different itunes (kept changing computers and not all of them had the same music though I tried ;_;) and then I found copytrans manager and have been using it since. It's quick. You can have playlists. You just connect your ipod while it's open, your playlists appear, drag song files in said playlists, they load and then you "sync" and it's all good.

    While I don't believe you can sync your iPod to it, Foobar2000 is a really great alternative to iTunes for when you're just listening on your PC. It's highly customizable with a huge amount of user created skins. Not to mention it uses far less resources than iTunes.

    But, if I'm not mistaken, I believe Winamp has some sort of wireless sync capability. You might want to check it out.

    @zatsunen

    yeah, that's right, but i know the admin password for the computer (its in chinese) and I still can't get the thing to link up to the net to do that good stuffs. I'll just find a workaround.

    @Snacks

    Thanks, I'll look this up.
