My Problem With Hitman Reborn
I'm 20 episodes in and...
I'm 20 episodes in and...
There's no real plot
There's no real Antagonist (Except for Kyoya Hibari which btw is just a lame excuse for plot twists in all of the fillers...)
By now a good anime would start wrapping things up, if not at least have most of it's story elements put in place. But
So my question to you guys is, will the anime continue like this or should I give it some more time? I mean I have been really open to this anime. I really have. Normally if I'm not pleased after the first two episodes, I stop watching.
It gets better...
Having watched all the episodes I can say its above average but not amazing. Better than fairy tail and Naruto but not as good as bleach, one piece and Gintama.
I would say if you have no other anime to watch/ you are really bored. You should watch it, I mean Hey why not!
Then I'll continue to watch it, because I have seriously nothing else to watch x.x

@yanderebabe Uhh Bleach is actually pretty fucking good if you rule out the retarded fillers and that stupid new arc along with a bunch of plotholes.
@OP Well, it sucks up until approximately the Varia battle. And the plot is getting Tsuna to become the Vongola Boss. Yeah, like how Naruto is supposed to become the Hokage. Those plots that could drag on for years. And there's more fanservice for girls than for guys. Fanservice for guys can be counted on one hand. And Hibari is nothing close to a victim. He's just a tsuntsuntsuntsuntsuntsun dere tsuntsuntsuntsuntsuntsun dere. As far as I know, the antagonist changes every arc, so nothing to worry about there.
Wait Hibari, Victim? I mean antagonist. Goddamn running on two hours of sleep for the past three days is making my brain dumb down
@Noodle Yes, I must say it takes awhile to get interesting.
In the beginning its repetitive such as Shugo Chara (Ewwww). But with patience you shall understand what all the fuss is about. Maybe in the 40s or 50s it'll come. Maybe later I can't seem to remember. But later on some shit happens that I can't recall but it will give what we promise.
You will get an antagonist later on, I guarantee it. And then it'll be switched around and the antagonist changes and...whatnot.
@Onedollar said it's not as good as One Piece. I must agree there but One Piece, for me at least, took some time for me to like. In the beginning it rather bored me. My sister had to threaten me to watch it. And Alabasta?! Don't even get me started! Just like one piece, Hitman Reborn takes some time. My fucking gosh. 40 episodes of Alibasta! The worst..
Long fucking post..

Fine, rule out half of the frickin series. If were judging animes that way every anime would at least get avarage score. :P
@Maryam It was just my opinion, of it. I'm sure you have different ones.
@OneDollar I do agree with your opinion, though :> But I feel that Hitman Reborn and One Piece have some very faint similar qualities.
@Noodle I honestly never actually followed the anime series. I've only ever watched the Hueco Mundo arcs. The rest were all read.

... Oh god, I'm simply rolling over with laughter right now.
Bleach WAS good in the beginning, but now? No way.
... Sorry, but here comes someone who thinks that Bleach was never good. Never. Good. (at least the anime had some cool action sequences)
I don't know about the arc(s) after Aizen was /FINALLY/ defeated.
As for Reborn, I stopped reading for a while, forgot where I left off, and didn't bother to come back. Apparently it gets a lot better.

Say whaat.... The beginning arcs bored me shitless. Especially with the whole "LET'S GO SAVE RUKIA" /fails "LET'S GO SAVE RUKIA AGAIN" /fails and repeat cycle.
You forgot the character development. There was little, but it's there.
OH AND ORIHIME WAS USEFUL LOL.
I watched it over my roommate's shoulder and I don't recommend it. The main character annoys me, the premise annoys me. Main charater is just a generic shonen main character with no redemptive growth.
I didn't read any of the posts above.
BUUUUT!
Don't watch the anime, read the manga. Anime sucks and it gets boring fast. The manga progresses slightly faster.
no you don't understnad reborn is about
~friendship~
not enemies
i'm pretty sure their enemies always join them in the end. but yeah, give it time. don't judge it by the first 20 episodes. it was designed to last much longer than that, so it takes a while to set everything up. honestly, i quit watching/reading it, but that was just because anime is gay and i started getting tired of waiting for new chapters. the manga is a lot better than the anime, even if the art style is a bit iffy at first. it's also very different from the anime. plotlines that exist in the manga don't exist in the anime, and they end up being important to the story later on and if you just watch the anime you'll get confused. seriously, there is no good reason why you should watch the anime over reading the manga.
I have seriously nothing else to watch x.x
is that even possible?
this is not bleach descussion thread so I'll just STFU.
