@DarkChaplain God damn. It may not be important to you but that doesn't mean that you have to act like an asshole to all of the people who actually appreciate it. It is just a simple question that doesn't need your comments.

You never asked a question though, you just stated that Durarayaoirara 2 is going to happen soon. It's not. This feels like a beaten topic but, there are no plans for a new season. Sorry to burst your bubble.

I may watch Sakimichi no Apollo And that's it.

Until the Tiger and Bunny movie shows up, and if they ever make a second season.

@Durarara237 I've said this before and I'll say it again. Durarara's already past its best point. The anime covered volumes 1-3, which covered the most interesting parts of the whole series. There's almost nothing but just a shitload of characters coming in for volumes 4-8. You think that'll make a good cut for an anime? Hell no. People will get bored SHITLESS with it and, hey, GUESS WHAT, THE RATINGS WILL DROP. Even though volumes 9 and 10 finally gets slightly better again, it still doesn't change the fact that they would be probably wasting around 40 episodes introducing just the new characters and by the time the actual plot finally begins to take shape again, less than 50% of the fans will still be watching. No one's willing to take a freaking risk like that.

Oh, and if you say you "appreciate" the series so much, then why don't you BUY AND READ THE DAMNED NOVELS INSTEAD OF WATCHING A STUPID REMAKE OF IT THAT DOESN'T EVEN SHOW 80% OF THE ACTUAL SERIES' POTENTIAL?

@Momimochi I have read them and I find them really boring. The book are a little exciting in the beginning but then they changed the plot and mixed up the appearances so now it feels like they mixed up the whole story. I find the shows more exciting then reading the books. Is there anything damn wrong with that? Plus I like watching about violence not reading that crappy stuff with the captions like CRUMBLE or SMASH. It just takes away from the whole violence scene and makes it look lame. Who would read a book if it looks lame? I know I wouldn't. Honestly the books sound like a bunch of crap if you ask me. My friends have read it too and said the same things as I did.

Yes, yes. I'm sure your definition of "read" is probably just the first 5 volumes? Please. From what that quote suggested, you should probably pick up the damned series again and actually TRY to read it through without being a complete total asshole about it. Also, what appearances are you even talking about? Physical appearances? The appearance of the art? The physical appearances didn't change for SHIT and of course the art changed. The artist progressively gets better. Oh wait, are you talking about how the art differs from the anime? FUN FACT: WHAT YOU SEE IN THE NOVEL IS THE ORIGINAL ART.

    Oh, and also:

Who would read a book if it looks lame? I know I wouldn't.

Hmm... I wonder how it even got an anime adaption if it's so "lame" to the society, as you put it. Wouldn't you wonder too?

Honestly the books sound like a bunch of crap if you ask me. My friends have read it too and said the same things as I did.

Unless if you can write a 10 volume and still ongoing novel series for others without making them drop it somewhere along the middle, don't ever call a series "lame" or "crap". Saying that you dislike it to a certain degree is fine, but calling a series "lame" or "a piece of crap" when you aren't even a published and pretty well-known author overall yourself is just a bunch of bullshit, especially if it's a series that you "like". Oh, and the translations aren't exactly the best translations out there. As far as I know, English novel translations for many of the other Asian languages aren't very accurate due to the way things are phrased and whatnot. So unless if you're reading that in the original language, you'll never know it's true potential.

Also, appreciate the fact that the author even decided to make the series that you enjoy so much called "Durarara!!" because, hey, guess what, an ungrateful fan like you shouldn't even be entitled to the privilege of giving your so-called "opinions" about the series if you don't even appreciate the author's style of the original thing.

With all that being said, "Take what you have or LEAVE IT" /topic
