There was a time I was too intimidated to let myself see what I could do, so I never did a lot of background scenes. I wanted this to reflect anime like Mushishi because I feel like they put so much work into the awe of nature. My trees are probably a bit too "full" but that probably won't hurt anyone.

I don't believe it's entirely wise or safe for people to be sharing their home city online, as it is. The idea is always nice, but for over a decade I've seen how depraved people can be. I knew a girl who had a guy show up at her family's place unannounced. All someone really needs is your full name & city/state/hometown, then manage to find your Facebook and possibly find more details if your privacy settings aren't strong.

I had trouble loading the site last night, so I wasn't able to send off the large file, nor update here. I've only just gotten on right now because I've been struggling with my new PC build and found out I had 1 stupid part that needs ordering... figures. But anyhoodles, here's the final. The trees aren't exactly what I had envisioned, but I'm still happy with the result. I wanted the spirit of it more than being totally perfect. At least, I spot the flaws but sometimes we just gotta accept our flaws. :P

I love the water movement here. Also, you just reminded me that they have red eyes, so I'll have to change that... hahaha.

@Rebel: You can do a traditional drawing with colors, then either scan it or take a good photo. I can offer some tips on how to get good, even lighting if you can't scan it. Anything from creating a poor man's light box to white sheets of paper to help bounce sunlight. Once, I made a lightbox from a small pizza box, and set up 2 lamps for lighting, then just edited the white balance in Photoshop. That's the Photoshopping I think Lieutenant was talking about.

Reconnecting with someone after so many years, only to find out they kept a gift that was given out of love -- brings tears to my eyes. More so because it was within reach. The best thing after that, having a fresh start after all the darkness is long past.

After all someone put me through, I still gave that person one last shot as a friend. In spite of being hurt after being ditched for another woman. Instead, accusations are thrown my way after said person didn't get his way when asking for me back. If the old saying is true, that you don't know what you have until it's gone -- tough cookies. I moved on quickly, because I don't hold on someone who can't see my value when I'm giving my all. I naturally meshed with someone who treats me right. I refuse to be robbed of my joy.

Try 5.5 months because the US postal service lets you sign up for mail-forwarding and doesn't actually forward. -.-

I've been busy with some crafty medieval commission work. Had some birthday stuff to make, and now I'm scrambling for Mother's Day ideas (after 20 years doing hand made, it's hard to keep it unique!). I've been inspired by beautiful cherry blossom scenes, so I'm carefully planning my own. Since I've got several months for this, I'm taking my time.
