I consider filling out profiles as a form of torture.

Okay, I have to agree with everyone else that this elitism shit is getting tiring, especially to complain about. I can only whine so much.
-Everyone do this then discuss- clubs would fall apart unless it just happens naturally, like with the Shingeki no Kyojin thread. Weekly topics maybe. Or, perhaps we can do more to promote creative activities, such as the writing competition that DC managed. A bimonthly art competition actually sounds really nice, and I know quite a few users on here are artsy. It's not intelligent like we think of intelligent, but it would promote a better community I think.
Okay, I was just mentioning that you used insults to back up your side, which was childish. I admit, I didn't phrase my post properly to admit that you did have other arguments against what I mentioned. That was my bad, I'm sorry. Since you're so interested in why I left that you're using my history against me, it was because I was bogged down with work, couldn't finish the projects, and then was such a pussy that instead of owning up to my mistakes, I just left the site. I haven't tried doing anything since then because I lack the confidence to do so at the moment.
I love how Kirn's arguments against the points made are basically "these people are -insert insults here- so I'm not gonna pay attention to them, the others are uninteresting, and you all must be unintelligent because you didn't see the actual point of my post."
We've got a true genius here, ladies and gents.
Okay, I respect you, I really do. You make interesting threads, you contribute, you're fantastic. But come now. You can do much better than that.
I was actually laughing as I wrote that. The day CL users become civil towards idiots is the day the world ceases to make any sense to me.
Violence is plausible, but it takes effort, so it's out of the question. Direct hostility is only so effective so I was thinking passive aggression might do the trick, but I guess not.
Tags would be nice. Also your personal opinion on what is best would be fantastic.
EDIT: Thank you for editing your post. :)
I hope everyone's joking with the "more elitism" shit. I really do.
I can't stand the elitist mindset; I have no idea why I go back to this website honestly. Here, the replies to dumb posts are not intellectual, but they are insults. Maybe if all of you want an intellectual community, you should start wising up and maybe show a little bit of maturity in the way you treat dumbasses around here. Maybe you should think "Hey, they made a stupid post: maybe I should politely tell them how to improve their posts rather than acting like an asshole and hoping they'll learn their lesson". If they continue acting like idiot children, by all means, scold them. But it really seems like the default response to ANY sort of stupidity is just hostility, and that's really pathetic.
Not all intellectuals are elitist, by the way. I'm sure many frown upon the mockery of actual people (no matter how stupid) over the internet.
Just my two cents.
Well, mostly IRL. People on the internet tend to think I'm a guy no matter what I do.
Fight Club should never have a sequel.
I can change how people perceive my gender at will.
