I was going to derail the thread but Wolfangle already did that
Currently reading Abandoned by Cody McFadyen.
(German title on the cover because I'm reading it in German.)
For FBI Special Agent Smoky Barrett, her colleague’s wedding is cause for celebration. Until a woman staggers down the aisle—incoherent, wearing only a white nightgown. A fingerprint check determines that she’s been missing for nearly eight years. Her coldly efficient captor toyed with her mind and body, imprisoning her, depriving her of any contact with the outside world. As Smoky fits together the pieces of what remains of the victim’s fractured life, a chilling picture emerges of a cerebral psychopath who doesn’t take murder personally, never makes a mistake, follows his own sinister logic, and has set the perfect trap.
I've only read 3 chapters (40 pages in) because I can't see properly at the moment, but it was enough to make me like that book. The first chapter alone would have been enough to make me read the rest in one go. Hopefully I'll be able to continue reading without difficulties soon.
have been listening to this for months
thinks i'd actually care about that
Are both in need of more love.
Dec gets all of my love.
Likes American Horror Story just as much as I do
I appreciate @DarkChaplain because he has been tolerating my weird behavior for quite some time now
Edit: I also enjoy talking to @Dec, even though I'm usually not in the mood to talk to people.
has a game on his steam account that he won't play because he "might not actually enjoy it"
@DarkChaplain Yes, speed controls would be nice.
I guess being able to choose from different planet sizes wouldn't be bad either, but moving a giant around a huge planet would be a pain in the ass without speed controls.
@hellstorm901 Just play it. At least try.
In Reus, you control powerful giants that help you shape the planet to your will. You can create mountains and oceans, forests and more. Enrich your planet with plants, minerals and animal life. There is only one thing on the planet that you do not control: mankind, with all their virtues and and all their vices. You can shape their world, but not their will. Provide for them and they may thrive. Give them too much, and their greed may gain the upper hand.
Your four giants are:
- The Ocean Giant (oceans, domestic animals)
- The Forest Giant (forests, fruit plants)
- The Rock Giant (mountains, deserts, minerals)
- The Swamp Giant (swamps, exotic animals, herbs)
Each giant has unique abilities that can be used on every terrain. There are many different kinds of plants, animals and minerals which can be developed further by using the different abilities of all four giants. This is necessary to help villages grow and finish their village projects, allowing you to carry ambassadors who unlock certain abilities. But you have to take care that the villagers don't get too greedy, because when that happens they attack other villages and your giants. What you do with greedy villagers is up to you. Let them attack others or destroy their village, it's your choice.
