For the adoption of new technologies, skeuomorphism was once beneficial to create metaphors for items that people would understand (folders, drag-and-drop, pulldowns, etc) and I'm not so certain that it has entirely lost its benefits in that regard in 2012.

This is an excellent bundle. Thankfully I got Amnesia on the massive sale and it's really the only one out of this group that interests me/I didn't have.

@Gargron have you tried StackOverflow?

@IIEarlGreyII I had a $100 all semester because I couldn't find any businesses around here that would take it. I finally broke it at a gas station with a sign on the door that said "Register contains less than $50."

We already have an IRC channel. It's at #Colorless on Rizon. It's the Official CL Downtime Information Channel.

@syunfung: Have you done any casual research into what the drugs sold as "bath salts" contain? Lysergic acid diethylamide or even a close analogue thereof is extremely unlikely, due to its ease of detection and the visible-range dissociations that it causes. That's my primary concern, the misinformation.
Additionally, at "normal" doses and without interactions, LSD is unlikely to spur such a violent outburst in a mentally healthy person. I'm sure the MKULTRA notes or even the Erowid archives would be good evidence for this, though it's certainly something that's easier to say if you've had the experience. @_@

THIS IS PROBABLY NOT LSD YOU GUYS
The guy was probably consuming 3-MeO-PCP or some research amphetamine in the bath salts. All the "LSD" talk is either really bad reporting or the demonization of LSD. While it is true that most of the "LSD" being sold is in fact something that is not lysergic acid diethylamide, the confusion in this case is alarming.
This reminds me a lot of the case of Big Lurch. He was taking PCP and not a "bath salts" analogue, but the effects would be similar.

@DarkChaplain: watch and weep as I make another Durarara thread and THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT MWAHAHAHAHAHA
Just kidding. No, in seriousness, I agree, and this thread will be gone shortly. But remember -- reposted content is only not new to the people around for the previous postings.
